Our National Certificate in Social Work and Social Administration (NCSWSA) equips students with the knowledge, values, and practical skills necessary to positively impact individuals, families, and communities.

About the Course

This two-year certificate program is designed for individuals who desire to pursue a career in social work, community development, or social administration. Students are introduced to key concepts in human behavior, social justice, public administration, community engagement, and social welfare services.

Through a blend of theory and field-based practice, students will learn to assess and respond to the needs of vulnerable populations while promoting dignity, equity, and inclusion.

Minimum Academic Requirements for Intake:

To be eligible for admission into the National Certificate in Social Work and Social Administration, applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum academic criteria:

  • Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least five passes, including English Language.

  • Junior Certificate or equivalent qualification as approved by the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB).

  • Mature age entry: Applicants aged 25 years and above who pass the mature age entry examinations.
