National Certificate in Information and Communications Technology (ICT)
Program Overview
The National Certificate in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) at Uganda Christian Institute for Professional Development (UCIPD) is a foundational program designed to equip students with essential skills in computer operations, software applications, networking, and basic programming. This course prepares learners for entry-level positions in the rapidly growing ICT sector, empowering them to contribute effectively to digital transformation across various industries.
Students will gain hands-on experience with current technologies and develop problem-solving skills crucial for today’s digital workplace.
Program Duration
The certificate program is offered over 1 year (two semesters), combining theoretical lessons with practical lab sessions to ensure well-rounded competence.
Minimum Academic Requirements for Admission
Applicants must meet the following criteria to qualify for admission into the National Certificate in ICT:

Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE): Passes in at least five (5) subjects including English Language, Mathematics, and a science or technical subject.

Mature applicants aged 25 years and above with relevant work experience may be considered through the mature entry scheme, subject to assessment.

Equivalent qualifications from recognized institutions will also be considered.
