The Certificate in Procurement and Logistics Management at Uganda Christian Institute for Professional Development (UCIPD) is a hands-on, career-oriented program designed to prepare students for entry-level roles in supply chain management, procurement, and logistics. The program equips learners with the practical skills needed to support smooth operations in both private and public sector organizations.

Program Overview

This is a 1.5-year (three-semester) program that introduces students to the fundamentals of procurement processes and logistics management. Key areas of study include:

  • Introduction to Procurement and Supply Chain

  • Stores and Inventory Management

  • Procurement Laws and Ethics

  • Logistics and Transportation Management

  • Warehousing and Distribution

  • Supplier Relationship Management

  • Records and Contract Management

  • Communication and ICT in Procurement

This course is designed with a Christian-based approach to promote ethical practices and integrity in the procurement profession.

Minimum Academic Requirements for Intake

To be eligible for admission into the Certificate in Procurement and Logistics Management, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or its equivalent with at least five (5) passes

  • A pass in English Language and Mathematics is an added advantage

  • Applicants must be at least 16 years old at the time of entry

  • Must demonstrate a positive attitude, discipline, and readiness to learn


Intake Periods

We have two intakes each year:

  • January/February Intake

  • August/September Intake
